How to Register a Free Curlec Merchant Account

Introduction

Razorpay Curlec is a Malaysia-focused payment gateway that allows businesses to accept local online payments such as FPX and eWallets, regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia. Getting started with Curlec is simple – merchants can begin with the Basic Plan, which comes with zero setup fees and no upfront cost. This guide walks you through the full registration process step by step.

Pre-Registration

To avoid delays in activation or assistance, merchants should complete a simple registration form by clicking the button.

What you need to submit:

  • Name of the contact person
  • Email address used for Curlec registration
  • Phone number (optional)

After we confirm your submission, you can start preparing the required documents as outlined in the next steps.

Step 1: Prepare the Required Information

Before registering, make sure you have the following details ready:

  • Business name (registered or individual/sole proprietor)
  • Business registration number (SSM), if applicable
  • Director/owner personal details (IC / MyKad)
  • Bank account details for settlements
  • Active email address and mobile number
  • Website or platform link (e.g. your e-Janji booking page)

Having these ready will speed up the approval process.

Step 2: Visit the Curlec Registration Page

Go to Curlec’s official website and navigate to the Sign Up or Get Started page.
Choose to register as a Merchant and proceed with account creation.

You will be asked to:

  • Enter your email address
  • Create a password
  • Verify your email to activate the account

This initial signup is completely free.

Step 3: Select the Basic (Zero Setup Fee) Plan

During or after registration, merchants can start with Curlec’s Basic Plan, which includes:

  • RM0 setup fee
  • No monthly commitment
  • Pay-per-transaction pricing only

This plan is ideal for small businesses, service providers, and merchants using online booking systems like e-Janji.

Step 4: Complete Business & Owner Verification (KYC)

Once logged in to the Curlec dashboard, you’ll be prompted to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.

You will need to:

  • Fill in business details
  • Upload identity documents (IC / MyKad)
  • Submit business registration documents (if applicable)
  • Enter bank account details for payouts

Verification is mandatory to enable live payments and settlements.

Step 5: Submit and Wait for Approval

After submission, Curlec will review your information.
Approval usually takes 1–3 working days, depending on document completeness.

You’ll receive an email notification once your merchant account is approved and ready to accept payments.

Step 6: Access the Curlec Merchant Dashboard

After approval, you can log in to the Curlec dashboard to:

  • View transactions
  • Monitor settlements and payout status
  • Enable or disable payment methods
  • Download transaction reports

This dashboard will later be connected to platforms such as e-Janji for automated payment collection during bookings.

Step 7: Enable Payment Methods

From the dashboard, merchants can activate supported payment options, including:

  • FPX online banking
  • Touch ’n Go eWallet
  • Boost
  • Other supported local payment channels

Once enabled, these methods will be available at checkout for customers.

Step 8: Connect Curlec to e-Janji

Check “Setup Razorpay Curlec Payment on e-Janji” to link your Curlec merchant account with e-Janji and start receiving payments.
